How come Raoul Moat has had more media coverage than the bria Shootings?

Roaul Moat shot three people, critically injuring two and killing one. Derrick Brid on the other hand killed 12 people and injured 11. I hate to make it a numbers game but I don't get why Moat has had such extensive media coverage when the shootings in bria were a much bigger incident.
