What would be a punk hairstyle?

Alright I'm into horror punk mainly the Misfits. I also like the Clash and Dead Kennedys. The thing is I want to get my hair cut in a punkish fashion. But I don't want like something completely out there. Just something that's like noticeable but not like a death hawk. Note: I have medium length hair. My banes just barely touch my eyelids. If that gives you any idea of how short it is.
