Would an advanced alien race really want to make contact with us?

according to ancient astronaut theory, they all ready have. according to that theory, our entire civilization and world cultures have been influenced by extra terrestrials. not just in the past though, there a billions of ufo sightings every year, 1 billion witnesses would win any court case in the world. maybe they would, maybe they wouldn't, i won't say one way or the other. but one would be naive to believe that among the billions of planets upon the billions of stars and all of the galaxies, that we are the only intelligent life in the cosmos.
