Does the phrase "Tolerance" have a negative connotation?

Sometimes we must tolerate...what we cannot accept. It is fine to talk of acceptance when it comes to race, religion, uality.....But what about things you don't agree with and will nto accept? There is a reason for the word tolerance.......but applied to diversity it sounds..ugly. I don't consider myself self-righteous....but I would be lying if I said something idealistic...like accept and love EVETYBODY no matter what. There is an inherent problem with that. Some people are violent, cruel, and ignorant......you can "tolerate" them...without accepting their behaviour or what they stand for. Any one who says different......has not seen much of the world.
